"Local author really spins a GREAT story!"
It was an honor for me to meet one of our local author's at a book signing this past fall.
But I was truely amazed when I opened the book and began my journey into "The Catalan Gambit" by Stan Colson — under the pen name of Douglas Quinn.
His story is about a widowed father of faternal twins (a son and a daugher), who embark on a class trip to another country. The plane they are traveling on is taken over by ruthless terrorist. The father must decide whether to allow the government to handle the situation, or to become involved himself in order to save his only children.
This book didn't have a chance to grow cold, once I started turning the pages. It's been quite a few months since I finished reading it, and I'm trying to be patient in waiting for the next book to be published. Stan is definitely a talented writer, and it's hard to believe this is only his first attemt at a story this compelling.
