"Who sent these yellow fliers around?"

We got up today to find bright yellow flies attached to our mail boxes.

I have no idea who would want to slant the Sheriff's election two days before we go to the polls. Someone is evidently not wanting to miss the change to inform Perquimans County residents about a case that's pending againt the current Sheriff.

My regular mail box has been jammed full with election information this past week with others trying to get their candidates seen before Tuesday. And now this flier was placed on the flag of our mail boxes on a Sunday?

Both the Shariff's Department and David Shaffer are baffled by who sent these lovely fliers out. Maybe the plantiff in the case? We hope this won't have any affect on the polls, but it's hard to say at this point in time.

I've made no secret to the choice I feel is best for the office, and I believe most people around here have formed their own opinion one way or another. We need strong leadership in our Shariff's Office, and I hope the best man for the job is elected this Tuesday.
