"Chowan County Fair"

The American Legion Post #40 will hold the 55th annual county fair from October 8-12.

I've taken my children to this fair for over twelve years now, and we've always had a really good time. Now the grandchildren are almost old enough to start enjoying the fair as well.

There's always something for every member of the family to enjoy. From the kiddy rides to the farris wheel, and over to the haunted house for a scare.

Games are lined up along one side, with animals for a petting zoo, live music, raffles, and all kinds of foods to keep your mouth watering.

I'm not sure which day we'll be able to head up there yet, but we do plan on attending and spending the full day there.

Tickets will be sold at the door for $10.00, or you can buy them in advance from Colony Tire locations in Edenton for $8.00. The cost covers all rides and each person receives a stamp on your hand, so you're free to come and go through the day.
